Why The Kale Diet?

While the word “diet” is included in the name, this program is not intended to focus on weight loss. Rather, it promotes entire health improvement by enhancing the nutritional power of your diet. With that being said, you may experience weight loss by replacing common “empty calorie” foods— those laden with sugar, simple carbohydrates, salt, and pro-inflammatory fats— with nutrient-rich meals with true flavor. The Kale Diet will maximize your day-to-day functioning by increasing your intake of fiber, whole grains, anti-inflammatory fats, and antioxidants and phytonutrients.

What is The Kale Diet?

The Kale Diet created by our Executive Chef is a premium, organic, plant-based meal delivery program following the principles of a whole food, plant-based diet. The program incorporates fresh, seasonal plant-based proteins, antioxidant-rich ingredients, superfoods, whole grains, seeds, nuts, fresh fruit, and vegetables.

Is the program Organic?

Yes – we source organic, non-GMO ingredients.

Are the meals low sodium?

Yes – The Kale Diet program is lower sodium.

Is the program gluten free?

Yes – The Kale Diet is a gluten free, plant-based meal delivery program.

How do I request a bag pickup?

We utlize a bag swap system. If you are pausing services please request a bag pickup. If you are continuing services your bags will be picked up upon delivery.

What is the average daily calories?

The regular portion meals are 1550 – 1750 a day and the large portions are 2250-2450 a day

Which portion size is the best option for me?

Will I lose weight?

Weight loss can occur if you are improving your eating habits and eating fewer calories than before the program. Please contact your health care provider before changing your current diet.

Can I swap a meal?

Yes – if there is a meal that you would prefer, we can swap it out for another meal being delivered on the same delivery day. For example, if a falafel salad and a spaghetti squash are both apart of the delivery menu for Monday, you can request 2 falafel salads instead of the spaghetti squash. If the meals are on two separate delivery days, than unfortunately we cannot make the swap.

How will I know what's on upcoming menus?

If you have ordered from us previously you will receive a weekly email with the upcoming week’s menu. In addition, you can view the upcoming menu on our website, facebook page, twitter or instagram.

What is your delivery area?

We deliver within 30 miles from zip code 85019. If you have questions about our delivery area, please refer to our service area.

What are the delivery days?

All plans start on Monday.

  • 3-day plans: Sunday
  • 5-day plans: Sunday, Wednesday
  • 7-day plans: Sunday, Wednesday, Friday
What time will my meals be delivered?

Meals are hand delivered between 10 am – 2 pm on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.

Do I need to be home for my delivery?

Yes, you will need to be home or have someone available to receive your meal delivery.

Can my meals be delivered to my work on Wednesday and Friday?

Yes – please specify your second delivery address in the details section. Please note your second delivery address must be within our standard delivery area.

Our weekly chef services are designed to take the work and guesswork out of meal planning.  They’re the perfect solution for eating healthy home-cooked meals without lifting a finger. Unlike restaurant takeout, our in-home meal prep services offer personalized menus, based on your food preferences and dietary needs.  You even have the option to add meal replacement smoothies, snacks, pantry and fridge stocking services. We’d love to create something special for you.

What service options are available?

Currently, In-Home Meal Prep Services are available with the option to have your meals prepared and package for reheating later or having a meal prepared and served fresh by your chef.

How large are your portions?
  • Average 400-550 calories/per person
  • 2 children under 12 can eat 1 meal

Animal Proteins:

  • 6 oz poultry
  • 4-5 oz seafood
  • 4-5 oz red meat

Do you offer delivery options for personalized meals?

No – all meals are prepared at your service location.

Do you offer services for singles or couples?

Yes- you can request a 4 person meal plan and have enough food for lunch and dinner for the amount of day’s requested or you can freeze your meals for later.

Do services have to be weekly?

No – services can be one-time, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or bi-monthly.

Do I need to be home during services?

For your first service we’d prefer for you to be home as we would LOVE to meet you! Moving forward we can text you our arrival time and when we leave.

I'm trying to lose weight can you help me?

Yes – we offer portion controlled, nutrition information and dietitian consulting services for clients needing to lose weight.

Do I need to provide pots and pans?

Yes – we prefer to use your pots and pans, sheet pans and cooking utensils.

Do I need to supply pantry essentials?

No – your in-home chef will bring our portable pantry with spices, cutting boards, knives, and Vitamix.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No – services are billed weekly and you can pause/resume services at any time.

Can I skip a week?

Yes- please let us know asap so we can pause your services or you can do so by logging into your account.

I have dogs, should they be kenneled?

Yes – we love dogs and want to keep them and our chefs safe.

Can you teach me how to cook during our cook day?

While we love to teach and give you cooking tips, your cook date is not the time. Please contact us to schedule a private cooking class.

Will I have the same chef every service date?

Yes – if you are scheduled for recurring services you will have the same chef. If you pause services and resume services, we will try our best to match you with the same chef.

My Chef is on vacation or sick, who will be my replacement chef?

We will match you with a chef that will best suit your meal prep needs. You will receive that chef’s bio and contact information prior to service.

How long will my meals stay fresh?

All food should be eaten within a week. Seafood should be eaten first, followed by meat entrees. You can freeze your meals for up to 6 months.

Can I request a freezer friendly menu?

Yes – please notify your chef before menu development that you would like a freezer friendly menu.

Can I purchase services as a gift?

Yes – please contact us so we can help determine the amount.

Do I select from a pre-fixe menu?

We’re happy to share sample menus from past events and can provide you with a custom menu based on your food preferences, dietary needs and budget

Do you have catering minimums?

Yes – Sunday to Thursday $1250, Friday and Saturday $1750

What do your catering fees include?

Food, culinary labor, waitstaff, kitchen cleanup and gratuity

Will the food be prepared onsite?

Yes – we’ll prepare all food within your kitchen.

I’m renting a house, can you provide catering services?

Yes – please complete an online estimate request form and we’ll contact you shortly.

Do I need to provide dinnerware, flatware, drinkware, etc?

Yes – if you have enough to accommodate your guest. We can help you determine what you’re going to need.

Will you do a site visit before my event?

Depending on the home. If you’re renting a home, we’ve may have worked their previously. If we haven’t, we’d love to check out the kitchen,  event layout/design and of course, meet you.

Do you offer wine pairing services?

Yes – our wine manager is happy to pair wines with your menu
