Our Story

Before starting Kale Personal Chef Services, Chef Kristen Madison was a chef working her way through culinary school in fine-dining restaurants, hotels, and spas. She realized, creating beautiful, food was a constant thought, from dusk to dawn, and even in her dreams. Second, she wanted to create food she was passionate about, food with a purpose.

In 2013, she set out with an idea,  that there were people like herself, people who craved artisan food, made with farm-to-table ingredients, free of chemicals, preservatives, artificial ingredients, and GMOs.  Those who wanted the personal touch of a chef, and an exceptional dining experience. Thus, Kale Personal Chef Services was born.

We have a team of culinary staff at our Scottsdale kitchen, as well as event staff which includes event planner, bartender, waitstaff, event cooks, and chefs. 

Our Process



We offer personalized menus for full service event catering or our custom catering delivery service. To get started, take a moment to complete our catering service request. We begin by getting to know you, your vision, and your food preferences.

Creative Process

We create memorable dining experiences, and while we showcase sample menus, we develop menus exclusively for your event based on our initial consultation and what’s in season. 

Event Review 

Together we’ll review your proposed menu and event details, walk you through your event flow process, and answer any questions you may have. 

Deposit & Agreement

To book your event, our deposit and signed catering agreement are due at this time. 


Schedule your complimentary tasting at our Scottsdale kitchen. Here you’ll sample menu items,  rentals, and finalize event details. 

Your Event

We’ll arrive during our designated time for unloading our catering equipment and begin the event setup. Here we’ll take over your kitchen and event space, where we will setup, execute, and cleanup after your event.
